  1. What a good idea - this is a great way to get everyone pulling together! On twitter I follow @hashdesigns @mayhemstudios and @minervity all regularly post good tips/sites for Design.
For inspiration, check out http://bit.ly/1KjJRC lots of these mags have RSS feeds - easier to follow multiple sites in a Reader; I use Google Reader for this. Enjoy!

  6. This is a great idea.

I advise people to join up with Behance at http://www.behance.net/

You can create your own portfolio and try and to win clients. It is a very good site, also the MTV Playground, which is made by Benhance, but has works more on creating a creative community http://www.swatchmtvplayground.com/en-GB

    Check them out.

I think that this will get everyone in all the graphics classes, to talk to each other, and get help.

  8. Looked at that. I obviously have no life at all as I have many, many blogs.
I have 2 bloggers, 2 twitters (dunno if they count), a Wordpress, Devianart, 3 Myspace, Bebo, and my oldest, Livejournal.
All these blogs do get updated, although some are private, some are graphics based and one is for a fansite for a band.

I like blogs, and the idea that you can use them for a multitude of things.

  10. Looking forward to day out tomorrow - hope you all get something from the trip, and not just a hangover!! You should be building up a collection of random images e.g. photos of urban life (i.e. city life), different cultures etc inc. textures... for manipulation later, or combining with other stuff... even for mood boards You know!

  11. Well, another busy week. Exhibition trip was good I thought, what are your views? Did you find the exhibition trip useful? your thoughts please.

  12. I liked the exhibition, I will be honest and say I didn't go to the modern art one, mostly because the idea of the sheep in a box, freaked me out.

I really liked the Spanish exhibition, I think there was a wide variety. Well worth the journey through. :)

  13. i thought the trip was good, although the spanish art exhibition and gallery of scotland museum wasnt to my taste in work, i think i found it helpfull in looking at different styles.

I thought the modern art museums were fantastic, infact i picked up two designers that i am planning to research.

Unfortunately we didnt make it to the print factory :( was looking forward to that one but the thought of getting lost in edinburgh just wasnt good :O

the pub was a let down as we lost 2 people because they didnt have proper ID :O shocking

a little bit of a late comment havent been on here in ages. got a little bored speaking to myself :(

  14. I too was not keen on the sheep in a box, but thought some of the spanish work was worth seeing: use of colour and light as well as Picasso's abstracts: using shape, colour etc to represent emotion - an important part of design. So, where to next?? any suggestions?
